After we found out Tommy passed (YAY!!!!! Thank you God for getting us through LAW SCHOOL AND THE BAR!!!!) we hung out with a few friends that were in town and celebrated. But not really too much because neither of us had slept very well leading up to Friday and we were REALLY tired. Not to mention I think we are getting old!!!!:)
Saturday morning we woke up BRIGHT and early because we couldn't really sleep so we took an early jaunt up to our new house to see the progress then went to breakfast and caught the early matinee to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. After that we went home and took a nap and did nothing pretty much until that afternoon when we had dinner plans with some friends. That night when we got home we were so excited to go home and SLEEP!!!! It had been awhile. Little did we know that we would be going to the hospital that night...
I couldn't sleep at all I kept tossing and turning and getting up to use the restroom. After this lasted long enough for me to feel bad for Tommy I went out on the couch. I could tell I was having contractions so I wanted him to get some sleep. At about 3:30 I decided to wake Tommy up because my contractions were about 4-6 minutes apart and had been that way for about 2 hours... I told him and he said, whenever you are ready we'll go to the hospital. I think the words FREAKED me out so I told him I would take a shower and see how I felt after that. During my 20 minute shower I had 6 contractions so I figured we should leave for the hospital.

Leaving for the hospital! One last picture of the belly:/
We arrived about 4:30 a.m. and after awhile they decided to keep me even though I was only dilated to a 1 and Lexi hadn't dropped. They made this decision because my contractions were pretty close together still 4-6 minutes apart, I had high blood pressure again, plus 2 proteins in my urine, I had been vomiting and the amniotic fluid levels were marginal... so they were going to give me pitocin to get this party started!!!! At about 7 a.m. we got a room in labor and delivery and met my nurse Gary. He was REALLY cool!

(Me during labor...fake smile can you tell:)!!!) And my parents that came down during this time. Didn't get a picture with Jen who also came over from San Jose during my labor:) How nice of them to come:) )
Labor continued to progress slowly and at about 8 pm when I was dilated to an 8 (up from 2 checks and only being a 6 so this was good because they told me if I was still a 6 that we would have to talk about delivering via c-section). They came back about 30 minutes later and I was still dilated to an 8 and Lexi's vitals weren't as strong as they had been all day. So at this point they again told us that they though we should have a c-section. They gave us the pro's and con's of both options and we went with the c-section (waiting any longer did not sound good for Lexi or me so the c-section seemed like the best option). Once that decision was made I pretty much was swarmed with nurses, docs and anaesthesiologists. They wheeled me into an operating room and started prepping me for surgery. Tommy got to "scrub in" but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of that:(:( He was really excited about it too!!!!! After they did the incision they let Tommy in to see the rest but as soon as Lexi was born and they took her away he went with her. We met up in recovery later:) Lexi was born at 9:13 p.m. and very healthy:)
I'm not happy!!!
