Summer at the Sheridan's

Well, as you can imagine, it's been quite an eventful one. Here are some pictures from our eventful summer:) Enjoy!
Here is Devin playing "double duty" with Lexi and her friend at the park! What a sweetie!!! Can you tell he's used to sisters???
Lexi and Linzi cheering Devin on at his first football game! Wow did this bring back memories for me! I was cheerleading at one of these games 20 years ago!!!! Oh my goodness:) We've had a blast traveling to some of Devin's games. We've been to 3 so far and hope for a couple more. Surprisingly the girls do pretty good too! Lexi LOVES to see her "bubba" play.
Isn't this so cute:):):) Melts my heart!!!!!
On 9/1 Linzi had her first taste of rice ceral and Lexi INSISTED upon feeding it to her:) It was a hit and Linzi was VERY ready for her first foods. I eventually had to take over when Linzi wasn't getting it fast enough and wanted to feed herself. What a mess!!!!!
Here is Linzi on her 6th month birthday! At her 6 month appt a few days later she was 16lbs 1oz (45%) and 25" (like 30%). She's our little bundle of joy!!!
Here are the girls playing! They are finally starting to do more and more of that. I'm looking forward to this new stage, although I'm a little sad too! My babies are getting so big:(
I just love this little "business" baby outfit, so I had share:)
And here is Lexi trying to show/encourage Linzi to crawl! She's not quite there yet, but I know it's not far... oh my!!!!! Watch out mom, I just know it's coming...
Linzi playing with Noah and his animals:) She's so chill... she was pretty content just playing while I hung out with Lexi in her "house" and dad watched football. We feel very blessed!
Princess Lexi
This is what happens when I leave Linzi alone with Lexi for a minute, she ends up "dressed" up. At least she's not making her cry I guess:)
Lexi taking care of baby Stacey. She's such a good little mommy. She was patting her back so that she would go to sleep.
As you can see the kids are all doing great!
Devin started 5h grade this year and is liking it. He spent quite a bit of time with us this summer which we loved! He's playing pop warner football and we are enjoying going to his games.
Lexi is BUSY!!! She has names for all of her babies, loves to read and sing, is too smart for her own good, likes to pick out her clothes and sissy's too, knows almost all of her colors, likes to ride her bike (with no shoes! She's so tough she doesn't even cry when she stubs her toes!!!!), likes to go to Sunday school and is learning that God and Jesus love her! (We just love this!!!!) And she STILL says Daddy is her best friend!!!! I guess it's not a phase:)
Linzi is sitting up (as you've seen), wants to crawl, loves to stand (holding on of course!), trys to pull herself up (I'm so not ready for this yet!!!!), has 3 teeth!!, has eaten all of the single grain cereals so I'll start veggies probably this week, loves her siblings, she just watches everything they do and Lexi can get her to laugh like no one else. She mostly sleeps through the night and overall she is an EASY and GREAT baby!!!!
Tommy has been busy at work and seems to really be enjoying himself. He is looking forward to moving back to Sac which should be anyday now...
I had some medical issues going on but they are finally gone!!!!! Praise God!!! I'm keeping busy with work and the kids. That's pretty much what we do:)
See you soon!

Lexi's Language Development and Linzi's stats

Lexi is becoming quite the little talker these days and I wanted to update you all because I think it's so cute!!! Hopefully I'll get pictures up soon too, but while it's quiet and I'm thinking about it I wanted to jot down a few things:)
As most of you know Lexi's "school" (daycare) speaks mostly Spanish so she is learning a second language. It's so cool but now that's she's speaking a lot more I'm always not sure if what I can't understand is an English or Spanish word. It makes it difficult on Lexi too but we're fortunate we understand most of what she says and she doesn't say much Spanish to us!
About this time last year Lexi said her first Spanish word "Aqua". She loves water. Then about 4-6 weeks ago she started saying "Quiero Aqua" (I want water). Now she's saying "Quiero Mas Aqua please:)" (I want MORE water please:):):)!!!) Our child has impecable manners! Anyways. I think it's so cute and CRAZY to think that our little girl is saying sentences! It just seems like yesterday that we were awaiting Tommy's Bar exam scores and hoping Lexi didn't make an arrival BEFORE we received the results! Now... almost 2 years later, she's talking to us in sentences some being Spanish ones. I can't believe it! Actually as I re-read this it was this weekend (Memorial Day) 2 years ago that we received his results!!!!!!!! Man have our lives been changed FOREVER since then:) For the BEST of course!
Linzi is also doing really well. When she's not being smothered by big sissy, she is smiling, "talking" and hanging out with her play gym "friends". She grabs at them and smiles at them too. Her smile is infectious:) It lights us all up! She's also sleeping pretty good these days, she'll wake up about one time (in the 2 o'clock hour usually) eat and go right back to sleep. Then she's usually up about 5:30. Sometimes she's go right back to sleep but others not... since Lexi is an early riser as well, it's usually when we wake up. For the past few weeks we have been walking in the mornings and Linzi loves to be in the Snugglie, she falls fast asleep, and Lexi rides in the stroller. It jump starts our day and I love it! Lexi gets to see the school busses and mommy gets exercise:) Linzi is good in the car and just goes wherever I take her without much fuss! She's a pretty good little trooper:) Linzi is also starting to take a bottle well:) This means mommy may be able to detach from her for short trips by herself! We'll see though... I have a hard time leaving my babies:) Well that's all for now:)
Oh I forgot to mention. Linzi went to the doctors a couple of weeks ago (on 5/4) for her 2-month check-up. She was 9wks and 11 lbs 3 oz (61%) and 22 1/4" (45%)!! She's grown 2 3/4" and gained about 3.5 lbs! The doctor says she's doing great:) I would agree! I thought Lexi was easy... wow, Linzi's pretty easy too. Watch out teenage years I think we're going to be in trouble!!!!!

Visits with friends and Devin

Once we all started feeling better it seemed like we had tons of things planned! But my friend from my first year of college up in Washington was coming to a wedding in the area and we were able to get together! It was the first time I'd seen her in 9 years!!!! It was a lot of fun catching up, meeting her husband (and cute little belly), and she enjoyed meeting the girls. They said they felt like they alreadyknew Lexi because they've been following her since she was born:) Thank you for coming to visit us!
Then we headed to Weed for Devin's opening day of baseball season and saw some friends then too! Enjoy the pictures:)

My friends Kristin and Nick with the girls

Me and Kristin with the girls
Devin playing 3rd base.
Devin pitching.
And Devin batting with the gorgeous Mt. Shasta in the background. It was so awesome to het to watch him play again. It reminds me of the good ol' days when my brother and I used to play:)
Here is Lexi's buddy Noah:) She thought he was pretty cool! He's a few months younger than Lexi but they played cute together:)
Here's the whole family! Unfortunately you can't see the mountain in the background!

Where has the time gone? Linzi is 8 weeks today!

Between Tommy's crazy trial, pink eye (viral and bacterial -- yes even the baby!), bronchitis, sinus infections, colds, doctors appts, follow-up ultrasound and VCUG for Lexi, visiting with Devin 2x, play dates and a visit from a long time ago college friend the Sheridan household has been CRAZY to say the least! I'd say at least I've taken some pictures:):) And yes, all of that stuff went on in the past 30 days since my last post!!!! Hopefully now it's obvious why it's taken so long to get back to the computer and upload pictures!!! Thankfully we are all back to normal and feeling GOOD! Praise God:)
Lexi's appointment for her urinary reflux went well. She still has it but its now a grade 2 instead of 3 (the scale is out of 5). They upped her daily antibiotic dosage since she's bigger now and said they'd see us in 18 months. They think she'll grow out of it. Meanwhile they want Linzi to get a ultrasound and said that would show severe reflux. If that comes back negative then they won't test her again until she gets a UTI (thankfully they won't make me take her for a VCUG if unnecessary!!!!). Hopefully though she won't have it!!!! There is a 20% chance that siblings have it... so we are praying. Linzi's ultrasound is Thursday morning so we'll know then I think! Lexi seems to be adjusting AMAZING compared to what I thought she was going to do. She LOVES and I mean LOVES her baby sister. The only negatives that I've really noticed is that she completely stopped going potty on the big girl potty (normal I hear), and she always wants to smother Linzi. Either snuggling, hugging, with blankets, toys whatever she can! Really it's just because she loves her though I think! And Lexi is saying hilarious things, "Hey Kiddo" (to Linzi), when asked who her best friend is she says, "My daddy". Though she says "My mommy" when asked who loves her the most! Too cute. The other day she was watching Handy Manny and she went up to the TV, turned it off and said, "No more Manny". So as you can see she's talking in phrases which happened almost overnight and just cracks us up!!!!! I'll have to start writing more because she says the darndest things and I don't want to forget!
Linzi is doing great as well. She is still stuffy but I think it gets better every day! She went to the doctor when she was 6 1/2 weeks and she weighed 10 lbs 1 oz. 1 full pound bigger than Lexi when she went to the doctor when she was the same age! We'll have to see how big she is on her 2 month and compare. But she is so adorable! She's got the most gorgeous blue eyes and adorable smile... unfortunately it's hard to catch on the camera! She is also discovering how to bat at her toys when laying under the Kick n' Crawl. It's pretty cute! And the past few days she's been sleeping about 5-6 hours at night!!!! Phew! :)
Devin is doing awesome! We went up to Weed this past weekend to watch him play his opening day of baseball season. It was pretty cool. He played 3rd base and pitcher. After the game I imparted some wisdom of pitching to him and I think he liked that! It was cute:) He's doing well in school and we can't wait to see him again! He loves the girls and LEXI ADORES HIM!!! He was reading to her during one of the trips he was with us in the car (the book was called My First Make-up Book -- I'm sure he was thrilled but goes to show what a good sport he is!) and after he was done she gave him a few minutes and then, "Bubba read it, Bubba read it, Bubba read it, Bubba, Bubba, Bubba" -- as you can imagine it got louder each time -- and then finally Devin yelled, "What? No, I just read it!" It was pretty funny!
Tommy is gearing up for another trial during the middle of May and is still trying to get over his sicknesses! Though that been impossible with as much as he's been working and that we've been on the go! Hopefully soon he'll get to rest!!!!!
And me... I've been doing pretty good. Just tired:) But I've loved being off with the girls and so thankful for that! I've had a lot of play dates lately too which has been nice:) Now I just need to think of what to do for Lexi's birthday:) Here are some pictures:) Enjoy! This is Linzi at 4.5 weeks. Here is Linzi at 6 weeks.Lexi, Devin and Linzi (5.5 weeks old) So cute:) This is Addison and Linzi - they are 1 day apart and 7 weeks old in this pic:)
Here the girls are ready to go to lunch with their mommies:)
Did I mention Lexi loves her baby sister???? :) And yes Linzi is smiling in this picture. I think she loves Lexi right back:)
This is my fearless child Lexi with her Daddy racing down the court. Yes that is a smile on her face! We couldn't get her off or away from the go cart!!!! Something only a daddy would do!
