Trip to the "OC"

I had my first mini vacation last weekend and to OC of all places, it was so nice:) I'm not going to add all of the pictures because there are TOO many to choose from but I put a lot of them on myspace. My parents said that I did soooo very good that they will take more vacations with me since I'm so well behaved. But I already knew that!!!!!
We went down because my daddy was in a wedding of a good friend of ours Taylor and now his new wife Trisha! It was a lot of fun and I LOVED dressing up and later getting to go the beach! Sand tastes so good to me! Here are some of the pictures from our trip.

Me and daddy on my first plane ride at 6:45 AM! I was so excited to see everyone get on the plane to SEE ME! Or at least that's who I thought they were coming to see. I clapped and jumped and laughed and wanted to hi-five or touch everyone that came in. Unfortunately mommy couldn't get a good picture of all of this happening here is me checking out more of the people getting on though. Once the plane lifted off I feel right to sleep and slept most of the time. It was a good ride, MUCH better than the car!!!!

This is a good friend of my parents Erich. He lives in Beverly Hills and came over to visit with us. It was good to meet him. Thank you Erich for making the drive:)

Bride and Groom Trisha and Taylor Abernathy. This was on our way home we had similar flight times as them so we went and saw them before they left for their honeymoon! Happy day!!!
What did I figure out on this trip... that I would LOVE to live in So. Cal. I think mommy and daddy would like to too! Until then, we'll just go and visit:)

Retirement Party and Valentines Day

It's so crazy to think that at my young age my parents would drag me out to someones retirement party... but they did!!! And it was really cool so I thought I would write a post about all of the cool things I saw and got to play with:) And of course would write to congradulate Jim for his retirement and accomplishments of a very successful career! Not everyone gets to retire and say that the Governor Arnold S (sorry guys I'm just a kid I can't spell that:):)!!!!) gave them an award at their party:) Job well done Jim!!!
That same week mommy and I made some rice crispy treats for the kids at "school" and assembled some valentines cards. And what would you know, when I went to school they all gave me some valentines too!!! It was a cool day:)

I don't understand why this is up here with nothing holding onto it!!!! I was so entralled with this contraption. My parents weren't sure if it was because it struck my curiosity or because I wanted to play with the bright yellow foam ball! :) Little did I know there was air was pushing up through the cone keeping the ball "afloat" in mid-air:)

Quite the personality

With each day comes more and more charisma and personality! I am giving my parents a run for their money:):) I do not hold anything back -- when I'm upset I let you know and when I'm happy I giggle and laugh in delight:) My parents have always known this but I'm showing it more and more lately:) Like getting ready for bed and putting pj's on... not so fun for mommy anymore, I arch my back and kick my feet in dismay!!! But when she dances around like a goon, I laugh and smile thinking she's so funny:)
This week has been a fun one! I said dada... now I like to say it all of the time because of the reaction I get. I love getting positive feedback:) I visited with my new friend baby Francisco! My mommy forgot to take pictures though:( Maybe next time... he's 9 weeks old and a Cowboys fan (I'll have to teach him the "real" team when he gets older:):):)!!!!!) I stayed close to mommy though and watched him play under my kick'n crawl! As far as other developments I gave my daddy a kiss:):) (No love for the mommy:):)!!!!!!!) And I'm becoming more and more brave. I stand by myself...but not for very long! And I seem to be sleeping pretty good these days. I think I slept through the night 3 days this week. Yippee!!!! She's TALKING!!!!!!

Lexi has gone to bed now but I thought I (Lexi's mommy) should report... she's said her first word!!!!!
Last night while Tommy and I were playing with Lexi before she went to bed she was jibbering to us telling us all about her day! She's so funny! Anyhow, I said ma ma and Tommy of course said da da (we're always competing:):)!!!!)... and who does she listen to???? Her dad...(SHOCKER!!!) and said "da da". We were both so excited we clapped and clapped and tried everything in our power to get her to say it again but that was all! I guess it took everything she had to get it out:) Although today I have heard her say it again a few times:) I know that Tommy will hold this over my head FOREVER... but it's OK, we all know that our children love their mommy's too!!!!! And soon enough she'll say those special words too:) Until then I will continue to prompt her:)

8 months old now:)

And the time just continues to FLY by!!! I can't believe that I'm already 8 months old!!! This week I started clapping:) I'm makes my mommy squeal in delight she just loves it! So of course I do it more when she does that... but she hasn't been able to catch me on the camera doing it yet...silly slow camera! I also am getting much more brave, as you'll see from some of the pictures below! I want to walk so bad sometimes that I forget that I don't know how yet! My mommy keeps telling me to slow down, but it's too much fun:) I love to push my boxes around and I'm getting quite speedy. I also like to let go of everything and stand by myself, it usually doesn't last too long, but it still makes mommy and daddy proud:) Now that my cough and cold are doing a little better I'm sleeping a little bit better too! This make mommy happy when she doesn't have to wake up with me, though she says one time isn't bad either as long as I eat and go right back to sleep! I just miss her sometimes:) (Sad says mommy!!!! :( ) Here are this weeks pictures! Enjoy:):) Oh and I almost forgot to report! I went to the doctor on Thursday when I wasn't feeling good and I weighed 15 lbs 10 oz:) Until next week...
